MADE IN DIALOGUES - Crafting the future
Network
WHEN? 31/03/2023, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
WHERE? Japanisches Palais, Palaisplatz 11, 01097 Dresden
The conference is the kick-off to the relaunch of the Europe-wide „MADE IN Platform for Contemporary Crafts & Design“. The participating partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Portugal and Germany will discuss the future of crafts as an instrument for social and ecological change with other international experts from the fields of crafts, design and research. How do we want to live in the future, how can social community be shaped with the help of craftsmanship and how can craftsmanship, design, technology and research work together constructively to achieve this? A thematic focus will also be on passing on craft knowledge and heritage to future generations. On the conference, a project pitch, a panel discussion and round tables will offer the opportunity to find out about the current state of affairs, but above all to discuss with the experts present at the same level. Simultaneous translation into German and English will be provided.
