TERRIFIC VIEWS
Summer is a season of abundance and harvest, but it also brings heat and scarcity. Our landscapes have been shaped by human demands, requiring vast resources and space, which affects other species and entire ecosystems. "Terrific" reflects this duality—what is beneficial for some can be detrimental to others.
In "Terrific Views," we aim to explore various perspectives to gain new understandings of landscape. Through a blend of hands-on activities, interactive research, theoretical insights, and practical knowledge, we will engage in an open discussion about landscape. Together, we will develop architectures and tools, write texts, and share thoughts.
The program will include:
- Experiencing New Perspectives: Research, field trips, swimming, and reading.
- Views on Practice: Examining the relevance of diverse perspectives for transformation and participation, with practical insights into selected projects.
- Discourse and Reflection: Engaging in discussions and conceptualizing ideas.
- Articulation: Creating, writing, and curating findings.
We are eager to build an interdisciplinary group for this workshop. Join us if you are open-minded and curious, interested in designing impactful processes, enjoy building, and have a passion for both the details and the broader picture of agriculture.
Matter+Meta
As Matter+Meta, Stefan Schwabe and Jannis Hülsen are designing realities. Bridging the abstract and concrete, planning the unplanned, and addressing the gut, heart, and mind. Between design, research, and teaching, both are developing impulses and spaces for transformation.
